There had always been an odd tension between Philip and Georges. Both in line for the business. Now they had one more thing in common: you.
Philip spent his time playing the piano and singing with you, pushing you around on the cleaning cart when you were meant to be working. Georges came to say hi to you with his father, and more often than not bought you gifts, perfume, makeup, clothes, money, a new laptop, to name a few.
When Philip noticed, he became almost aggressive in his affection. A rose on your dresser. Sweet notes in your sneakers before a particularly long shift. In contrast, Gilbert, Alex, and John all found it rather amusing. One particular evening, the string of tension was pulled so tight, it snapped.
Dinners with the gang were enjoyable, save the two boys. Philip immediately tensed. Maybe growing up here has meant you have no manners. The adults exchanged worried looks. Eventually, you reached your room and locked yourself in. Why were they so adamant about having your attention? Had you ruined their friendship? Was he that disgusted by the hotel, and therefore by you? Questions raced through your head and you sat, head in your hands, trying to control tears. The real reason for dinner was a celebration.
Tonight would be your debut performance at the hotel. You quickly checked the time. Hercules would be here any minute to make last minute adjustments to your outfit. With a sigh, you got the dress out of your closet. A knock on the door signified his arrival, and you opened it with a fake smile plastered on your face. Just give them time. You nodded and slipped into the bathroom to change. The mere sight of yourself in the mirror nearly brought you to tears again.
Was this all a facade? Were you really the girl stood in front of you? Looking closer, you noted dark circles under your eyes and chapped lips. To put it shortly, you were exhausted. John, Alex, Gil and Hercules all had enough to worry about. Georges and Philip were caught up in their little argument, and that all left little room for you and your problems.
You went back out to Hercules who gave you a quick look up and down. Now, hair. After what felt like an age you were finally backstage. John held your hand comfortingly, as Georges and Philip had been hurried into the audience. Sat separately, was what Lafayette had said.
The adults agreed it was almost laughable. The stage lights came up and Alexander went on stage to introduce you. Tonight is a very special night! I understand that we are a hotel who offer very specific services, but today will be a little different. As you all probably know, taking the stage tonight is a beautiful girl. Her voice- well, you will see.
But she came from nothing. My partner in business, Mr Laurens, found her, alone, on the streets. She had no one. You held onto the microphone for dear life, and piano music flooded the room. Soon enough it was your cue, and you opened your mouth to sing. The melody flowed from what felt like your very soul, and the notes soared through the air.
You only just stopped for breath before the music swelled, and your voice went with it. It was perfect; you could have stayed there forever. The last note ended. Alex and John ran to you, tears streaming down their faces.
You were swept up in their arms, and from the silence arose a deafening applause. You turned, and the whole auditorium was on its feet. Philip came up behind you and spun you around to face you. Everything happened in slow motion. His arms around your waist.
His curls framing his face like some kind of angel. His lips, smiling, and then suddenly they were soft on yours. His eyes fell closed when yours did and it seemed as if the room had disappeared. He pulled away only for air, and you looked up at him, astounded. He turned you to the audience, who were now all cheering loudly, and you curtsied.
With that, he took your hand and dragged you off stage. External image. Kazimir left is an android, and Peter right is a human who hates androids, but decides to help Kazimir. This leads to them planning a coup d'etat against their lord, of which they are found out and punished. He went and married some chic, but then he wanted to move to Moscow to paint.
