The author discovered ancient records in the Vatican in the 's and had them translated when he discovered what they were: Formal letters, records and inquiries into Christ by the Roman and Jewish leaders, trying to see if he was just crazy or a real threat.
Each interview is tainted by the person's views, but an amazing peak into what the people thought and did, when Jesus began teaching and proclaimed himself the Messiah. If you are able to find this book, understand th This is non-fiction. If you are able to find this book, understand that the first third is the author's description of how he came to find and translate the records. It gets a bit boring, but the rest is definitely worth the effort.
This book should be required reading for all christians. Whether you believe or not the behind the scenes story on how this book came to be, it is fascinating and well written. Born in , William Dennes Mahan was a Cumberland Presbyterian minister by , serving at least two decades in upper central Missouri, mainly at Boonville. The methods he used in this work undermine the credibility of The Archko Volume, published in His success at copying the work of others led to overconfidence.
